Scientific publications began from 1983 by publishing the scholarly of "Esteghlal" in the field of science and technology, with the aim of publishing the results of the faculty members and graduate students research.

In order to provide the necessary facilities for the publication of scientific works, the focus on publishing activities of the university and the promotion of the knowledge and culture of society, IUT Publication center was established in 1986.
